Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Subsurface Engineer for a fully remote position in the oil and gas sector. You will integrate geological, geophysical, and engineering data to develop field development plans, optimize recovery, and manage production operations from anywhere.

The role requires 8+ years in subsurface engineering, strong reservoir simulation skills, and proven remote collaboration abilities.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology or related subsurface discipline.
8+ years of progressive experience in subsurface engineering (reservoir, production, or exploration geology).
Proficiency in reservoir simulation, production analysis software, and data integration tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; able to collaborate in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

Develop integrated subsurface development and exploitation strategies for oil and gas fields.
Analyze reservoir performance, production data, and economic models to identify optimization opportunities.
Collaborate with geoscientists and drilling engineers to align subsurface understanding with operations.
Use advanced simulation and modeling to forecast production, assess risks, and evaluate development scenarios.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior subsurface staff.
Prepare technical reports and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.
