Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join a distributed engineering team working remotely across South Africa. You will design, analyze and oversee structures for diverse projects, ensuring safety, integrity and efficiency while collaborating with architects, engineers and managers from a home office.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Structural Engineering with Pr Eng registration and 8+ years of experience, and are proficient in SAP2000 or ETABS.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering required.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA mandatory.
• 8+ years of experience in structural engineering design and analysis.
• Proficiency with SAP2000/ETABS or similar structural analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges, and industrial facilities.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications and calculations using advanced software.
• Ensure designs comply with SANS codes and project requirements.
• Collaborate with remote project teams including architects, civil engineers and construction managers.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews.
• Provide technical support during construction and resolve issues remotely.
