Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Structural Design Lead for a fully remote role serving projects across South Africa, including Bloemfontein. You will lead teams in design and execution of complex structural projects, providing expert technical oversight from concept to completion.

The ideal candidate holds a structural engineering degree, Pr.Eng registration, 10+ years of experience, and proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, and Revit Structure, with strong leadership and remote collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
• 10+ years of progressive structural engineering design and project leadership.
• Pr.Eng registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Experience leading distributed engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process for a variety of projects, ensuring high standards of technical excellence.
• Oversee and mentor a distributed team of structural engineers, fostering collaboration and skill development.
• Conduct advanced structural analysis and design, including seismic and dynamic load considerations.
• Review and approve structural drawings, calculations, and specifications submitted by the team.
• Liaise with clients, project managers, and other disciplines to ensure seamless project coordination.
• Implement and promote best practices in structural engineering and project management.
