Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Structural Engineer to join a remote-first team. You will lead advanced analyses, develop drawings and calculations, and collaborate with architects and PMs across projects while mentoring junior engineers.

A strong background in SANS, SAP2000/ETABS, and Revit Structure is required, with Pr Eng registration or eligibility and 8+ years of progressive experience. The role emphasizes remote collaboration, project leadership, and staying current with industry

Qualifications

8+ years of progressive structural engineering experience.
Pr Eng registration with ECSA or eligibility.
Proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS and Revit Structure.
Strong understanding of SANS codes.
Proven leadership and project management experience.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced structural analysis and design for diverse construction projects in line with codes and standards.
Lead development of detailed structural drawings, specifications and calculations.
Collaborate with remote architects, PMs, and other engineering disciplines to integrate designs.
Conduct remote site inspections and provide expert technical solutions.
Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative high-performance team.
Review proposals, design reports and construction documents for structural feasibility.
Manage project timelines and deliverables for structural components within scope and budget.
Stay updated on latest structural engineering technologies and methodologies.
