Placements24 seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design and analysis of diverse SA projects remotely. You will manage detailed calculations, drawings, and specifications for commercial and residential developments while coordinating with dispersed teams.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in structural design, Pr.Eng status, and strong proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, and Revit. SANS knowledge and remote-ready collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• Pr.Eng designation essential.
• Minimum 8 years of structural engineering design experience.
• Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of SANS codes and SA regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Experience with concrete, steel, and masonry structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for buildings using advanced software.
• Produce detailed drawings, calculations, and specifications for tender/construction.
• Collaborate with architects and project managers to ensure integrated design.
• Review shop drawings and respond to construction queries.
• Ensure designs meet SANS codes and building regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers with technical guidance.
• Conduct site visits or remote inspections to verify design.
• Stay updated on latest structural engineering materials and software.
• Manage project deliverables and assist in remote planning.
• Assist in proposals and technical reports for potential clients.
