Placements24 is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer near Rustenburg to design and analyze structural components for buildings, industrial facilities, and infrastructure. You will ensure safety, economy, and compliance while collaborating with architects and multidisciplinary teams.

The role focuses on mining and industrial projects in the North West province, offering opportunities to tackle diverse engineering challenges and grow technical expertise within a forward-thinking company.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in structural engineering design and analysis.
• Pr.Eng registration with ECSA preferred.
• Expertise in SAP2000/ETABS or similar software.
• Strong knowledge of materials science, structural mechanics and construction practices.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for new construction and existing structures.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications and calculations using relevant software.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineers to integrate designs into projects.
• Conduct site visits to inspect construction progress and address issues.
• Ensure designs comply with national building codes, standards and safety regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
