Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in structural engineering design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, Prokon) and CAD software.
• Excellent understanding of material properties and structural behavior.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for buildings and infrastructure projects using advanced engineering software.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications for tender and construction purposes.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant South African National Standards (SANS) and building regulations.
• Collaborate remotely with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural designs.
• Review contractor submittals and respond to technical queries during the construction phase.
• Conduct site visits as required, though the role is primarily remote.
