Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Structural Engineer to join the design team. You will design and analyze structural integrity for diverse projects while collaborating with architects and project managers remotely.

The role requires 6+ years in structural engineering, proficiency with ETABS, SAP2000 and Revit Structure, and a strong grasp of materials science and geotechnical principles. Cape Town projects and nationwide collaborations are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in structural engineering design.
• Proficiency with ETABS, SAP2000 and Revit Structure.
• Strong understanding of materials science and mechanics of materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for a wide range of building structures in compliance with codes.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specs, and reports using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate remotely with architects, project managers, and construction teams to integrate designs.
• Conduct remote site visits to assess conditions and support during construction.
• Review shop drawings and RFIs from contractors and fabricators.
• Stay updated on new materials, technologies, and engineering best practices.
