Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to contribute to significant projects, with work spanning Sandton and beyond. You will design, analyze, and oversee structural aspects of construction projects, ensuring safety, stability and compliance with building codes.

You will collaborate with architects, project managers and construction teams to deliver robust solutions, conduct site visits, and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Structural Engineering or related field.
• Professional registration with ECSA is essential.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in structural design and project execution.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000 and SAFE.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for buildings and other construction projects.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Liaise with architects, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure design integrity and compliance.
• Conduct site visits for inspection and verification of structural work as required.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
