Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Civil Engineer specializing in Structural Design and Analysis to join our distributed team supporting projects across Upington, Northern Cape and beyond. The role focuses on safety, integrity, and efficient structural solutions for buildings and infrastructure.

You will conduct complex analyses, develop detailed design drawings and calculations, and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in structural design and analysis.
• Proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, RAM Structural System or similar.
• Strong knowledge of building codes (SANS, Eurocodes) and materials.
• Excellent communication for remote teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects using advanced software.
• Develop comprehensive structural drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Ensure all structural designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, project managers, and construction teams in a virtual environment.
• Review and approve structural calculations and designs prepared by others.
• Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptualization to completion.
