Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer to lead design and analysis of civil infrastructure, bridges, buildings, and industrial structures in and around Rustenburg. You will collaborate with a team to ensure structural integrity and code compliance on major projects.

The role requires Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng registration and a minimum of seven years' experience, with proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, and STAAD.Pro.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering is required.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) is required.
• Minimum 7 years of structural engineering experience on civil infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for bridges, buildings, and other structures.
• Develop detailed drawings, calculations, and specs for tender and construction.
• Assess existing infrastructure and propose remediation measures.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and authorities to ensure progress and compliance.
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes and safety standards.
• Utilize advanced structural analysis software for modeling and simulation.
