Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with a strong mechanical focus to join our Pretoria team, with potential for full remote work. You will lead structural analysis and provide design solutions for mechanical equipment and industrial facilities.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years’ experience, and proficiency in ANSYS Mechanical and ABAQUS, with knowledge of Eurocode/AISC and seismic design.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering with a strong structural focus.
• 8+ years of professional experience in structural analysis and design.
• Experience with seismic design and dynamic analysis is desirable.
• Proficiency in ANSYS Mechanical and ABAQUS.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced structural analysis and design for mechanical equipment, supports, and industrial structures.
• Develop detailed drawings, calculations, and specifications according to industry codes and standards.
• Conduct site assessments and inspections to evaluate structural integrity and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers to integrate structural designs into project plans.
• Manage structural engineering aspects of projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
