Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the structural design for major commercial and industrial projects in Rustenburg, North West. You will oversee analysis, drawings, and reports while managing timelines and budgets, coordinating with architects and other engineers, and guiding junior staff.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience, a strong technical background, and professional registration (or eligibility) with ECSA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
• Professional registration as a Pr. Eng. with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in structural engineering design for commercial and industrial buildings.
• Experience leading design teams and managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process for commercial and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with codes and specifications.
• Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete and masonry structures.
• Prepare detailed drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports.
• Manage project timelines and budgets; coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction and respond to site queries.
• Review designs from external consultants/contractors for compliance and quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and draughtspersons; support technical development.
