Placements24 is seeking a senior Structural Engineer for our client in Rustenburg, North West. The role focuses on design and analysis of diverse building projects, requiring collaboration with architects, project managers, and construction teams to ensure safety and integrity.

The successful candidate will bring a strong grasp of structural principles, SANS standards, and relevant software proficiency, enabling effective problem solving and leadership on multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Professional registration (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng) with ECSA required.
• Minimum 7 years of structural engineering design experience with a project portfolio.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) and design tools (AutoCAD, Revit).

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for new buildings and modifications.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specs.
• Collaborate with architects and other consultants on integrated designs.
• Ensure compliance with SANS and local regulations in Rustenburg.
• Conduct site inspections to verify progress and address issues.
• Prepare technical reports and present proposals to clients.
• Review shop drawings and material submittals.
• Stay updated on materials, technologies, and design methods.
• Provide technical support to project teams throughout the lifecycle.
