Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Lead Structural Engineer to join their Pretoria team. You will lead structural design for major construction projects, ensuring safety and compliance, and manage a team of engineers from concept to construction.

The role demands strong technical leadership and collaboration with architects and consultants. The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Structural Engineering, Pr.Eng.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive structural engineering experience, with ≥3 years in lead/supervisory role.
• Pr.Eng. registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Experience with SAP2000, ETABS or Revit Structure.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of structural systems for major projects.
• Mentor and oversee a team of structural engineers.
• Collaborate with architects and consultants to integrate designs.
• Perform complex structural calculations and simulations.
• Review shop drawings and site reports for compliance.
• Ensure designs meet building codes and standards.
