Job summary

Shift Pursuit is seeking a Professional Structural Engineer to lead major structural and civil projects from inception through completion in Pretoria. This senior role requires technical leadership, stakeholder coordination with clients, consultants and contractors, and active involvement in business development and project planning.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience across commercial developments, strong proficiency in design software, and a proven track record in delivering

Qualifications

BSc or BEng Degree in Civil Engineering.
Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.).
Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience, including at least 2 years post-registration.

Responsibilities

Lead structural engineering projects from inception to completion.
Prepare technical reports, calculations and specifications.
Manage tender documentation, scopes, bid evaluations and recommendations.
Coordinate structural design resources to ensure quality and programme adherence.
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
Support business development and strategic planning.
