Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our Randburg team. You will lead major projects, perform advanced structural analyses, and develop detailed drawings and reports to ensure safe and efficient structures.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with architects and MEP teams, and contribute to landmark developments in Gauteng. A Pr.Eng registration and a strong portfolio are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Pr.Eng registration with ECSA.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in structural design and analysis.
• Expertise in ETABS, SAP2000, Revit Structure.
• Thorough knowledge of building codes, standards and materials properties.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process for major projects, from conceptualization through to construction documentation.
• Perform advanced structural analysis and modeling using state-of-the-art software for steel, concrete, and composite structures.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address any structural-related issues.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including architects and MEP engineers, to ensure design integration.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior structural engineers and technologists.
