You will oversee technical outputs, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with SANS and project-specific standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BSc or BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr.Eng or Techni Eng.
• Minimum of 6 years of post-graduate experience in structural engineering, with a focus on industrial projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software: STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS; and AutoCAD/Revit.
• Strong understanding of material behaviour, structural mechanics and design principles for steel, concrete and masonry.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for industrial projects including foundations, steel and concrete structures, and supports for equipment.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations and specifications using industry-standard software and codes.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers and other disciplines to integrate designs into project plans.
• Conduct site visits for structural inspections and provide technical support during construction.
• Ensure designs comply with SANS, international codes and project requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, design justifications and tender documentation.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with design intent.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team technical development.
