Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering with focus on structures.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Minimum 8 years' relevant experience in industrial structural design.
• Experience designing steel and concrete industrial structures.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and codes.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Experience in KwaZulu-Natal region is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis of industrial buildings and foundations.
• Perform complex calculations for structures under heavy loads and harsh environments.
• Develop drawings, specs, and construction documentation.
• Ensure compliance with SANS, API, AISC and project standards.
• Collaborate with process, mechanical, and other disciplines.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Conduct site visits to support construction activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and reviewers.
• Review designs and provide feedback.
• Contribute to best practices in industrial structural engineering.
