Placements24 in Rustenburg, North West, invites a seasoned Structural Engineer with a minimum of six years of building design experience to join our expanding team.

You will perform structural analysis with ETABS/STAAD, develop detailed drawings, monitor construction through site visits, review RFIs, ensure SANS compliance, and coordinate with architects and clients, delivering safe, economical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA is strongly preferred.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in structural design for buildings.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for various building structures using advanced software.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Collaborate closely with architects, other engineering disciplines, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards (SANS), and best practices.
• Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs from contractors.
• Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams on site.
• Assess existing structures and propose remedial or strengthening solutions.
• Manage project workload efficiently and deliver high-quality work within agreed timelines.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards within the team.
