Placements24 is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our client in Polokwane, Limpopo. You will lead structural design and on-site supervision of building and infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with SANS and codes.

This hands-on role offers exposure to diverse projects and opportunities to advance infrastructure in the region. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering, ECSA PrEng or PrTechEng registration, and at least six years of

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
ECSA registration (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng) is required.
Minimum 6 years of experience in structural design and construction supervision.
Experience with reinforced concrete and steel structures.
Proficiency in structural analysis/design software (Prokon, Etabs, AutoCAD).
Knowledge of SA building regulations and construction practices.

Responsibilities

Design and analyze structural components for buildings and infrastructure projects.
Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications.
Oversee on-site construction activities per design specifications and quality standards.
Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance to construction teams.
Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Perform structural assessments and propose solutions for existing structures.
Ensure compliance with SANS and relevant building codes.
Manage project timelines and resources for structural elements.
