About the Role

Our client, a reputable engineering firm operating in Polokwane, Limpopo , is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to focus on building design. This role is integral to the delivery of diverse construction projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial structures. You will be responsible for performing structural analysis, designing structural systems, and ensuring the safety and integrity of buildings. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, contractors, and developers, contributing technical expertise from the conceptual stage through to construction completion. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis and design for various building types (commercial, residential, industrial).


• Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications.


• Ensure designs comply with South African National Standards (SANS) and relevant building regulations.


• Collaborate with architects and other consultants to integrate structural designs effectively.


• Provide technical support during the construction phase, including site visits.


• Perform structural assessments and inspections of existing buildings.


• Manage structural engineering aspects of projects, ensuring timely delivery.


• Stay updated on new materials, technologies, and design methodologies in structural engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
