Placements24 is seeking a Civil Engineer focused on structural design and analysis for landmark infrastructure projects in Upington. The role requires strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and proficiency in design software, with responsibility for drawings, calculations, and site assessments. Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with structural specialization, ECSA registration (Pr.

Eng. or EIT), and at least four years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr. Eng. or EIT is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in structural design and analysis.
• Proficiency in design software (SAP2000/ETABS/STAAD.Pro) and drafting tools (AutoCAD/Revit).

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for various infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations and specs.
• Conduct site investigations and assess existing structural conditions.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical engineers and architects.
• Review contractor submittals and provide technical support during construction.
• Ensure compliance with SANS and building codes.
• Prepare technical reports and present design solutions to clients.
• Maintain project documentation and records.
