Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer (Infrastructure) for our Upington, Northern Cape-based role. The successful candidate will lead structural design and analysis for bridges, water retaining structures, industrial facilities, and pipelines, while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring safety for critical infrastructure.

Competenze

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• Professional registration as Pr.Eng with ECSA is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, or similar.

Mansioni

• Lead the structural design and analysis of infrastructure projects, including bridges, culverts, dams, and industrial structures.
• Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for all phases of project development.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant SANS and international design codes.
• Perform structural integrity assessments and provide recommendations for existing structures.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Manage structural engineering project timelines and deliverables.
• Mentor and guide junior structural engineers, fostering their technical growth.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to address design queries and ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of design standards and quality control procedures.
