About the Role

Our client, a dynamic engineering consultancy with a growing presence in the Northern Cape , is seeking a talented Civil Engineer with a focus on Structural Design and Analysis to join their team in Upington . Key Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of infrastructure projects. Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications using industry-standard software. Conduct site investigations and assess existing structural conditions when required. Collaborate with other engineers (civil, mechanical, electrical) and architects to ensure integrated project design. Review contractor submittals and provide technical support during the construction phase. Ensure designs comply with relevant South African National Standards (SANS) and building codes. Prepare technical reports and present design solutions to clients and project teams. Stay updated with the latest advancements in structural engineering design and analysis techniques. Maintain accurate project documentation and records. Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations relevant to engineering practice in Upington .

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering. Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr. Eng. or E.I.T. is required. A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in structural design and analysis. Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, or similar. Experience with AutoCAD and Revit for structural modeling and drafting. Strong understanding of material properties (concrete, steel) and their behavior under load. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Must be based in or willing to relocate to Upington and possess a valid driver's license.
