Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng
• 7+ years of experience in structural design in the commercial sector
• Proficiency in structural software: STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, Revit Structure
• Solid understanding of SA National Standards (SANS) and building regulations
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for commercial building projects in George.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Collaborate with architects, clients, and construction teams to optimize designs.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and verify compliance.
• Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs from contractors.
• Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and budgeting for structural work.
• Stay updated on new structural engineering practices and materials.
