Placements24 seeks a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer for our Randburg office to drive design and analysis of major commercial and industrial structures in Gauteng. You will collaborate with architects and project teams to deliver safe, efficient, and code-compliant solutions.

Ideal candidates have a BEng/BSc in structural/civil engineering, Pr Eng with ECSA, and 8+ years of progressive structural design experience, plus proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, Revit Structure and SAFE.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Structural or Civil Engineering with a structural specialization.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA is required.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in structural engineering design.
• Experience designing substantial commercial and industrial structures.
• Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, Revit Structure and SAFE.
• Knowledge of concrete, steel and timber design per SANS codes.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead project teams and liaise with clients and contractors.

Responsabilités

• Lead the structural design and analysis of commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations and specs.
• Perform complex modeling and analysis for various load conditions and materials.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure structural integrity.
• Collaborate with architects and multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural elements.
• Ensure designs comply with SANS codes and safety regulations.
• Manage project timelines and budgets for structural deliverables.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and respond to site queries.
• Maintain client relationships and participate in project meetings.
