Placements24 seeks a skilled Structural Engineer for a leading architectural and engineering practice in Centurion, Gauteng. You will design and analyze structures to ensure safety and code compliance while integrating seamlessly with architectural concepts.

The role requires a Pr.Eng. with ECSA and at least seven years of experience in commercial and residential projects, with proficiency in Revit Structure, SAP2000 and ETABS, and strong teamwork and mentoring abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural/Civil Eng with structural major.
• Pr.Eng. registration with ECSA.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant structural design experience.
• Proven experience in designing commercial and residential buildings.
• Proficiency in structural design and analysis software.
• Strong knowledge of materials and construction methods.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.
• Experience with façade engineering or seismic design is a plus.
• Knowledge of Centurion, Gauteng building regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and design for concrete, steel, timber, and masonry.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specs.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers.
• Conduct site visits and monitor construction progress.
• Review shop drawings and respond to site queries.
• Ensure compliance with SANS and other codes.
• Utilize structural software (Revit Structure, SAP2000, ETABS).
• Manage structural aspects from inception to completion.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Contribute to innovative structural solutions.
