Eng. with ECSA, and proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, and Revit Structure, plus strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural specialization.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA or eligibility.
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in structural engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in designing concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro) and design tools (AutoCAD, Revit Structure).
• Thorough knowledge of SANS codes and international structural design standards.
• Strong understanding of foundation design principles for coastal environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for various building types (residential, commercial, industrial).
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and reports using industry-standard software.
• Conduct structural assessments and integrity evaluations for existing buildings and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to achieve project objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, standards (SANS), and regulations.
• Oversee structural aspects of construction projects, including site visits and problem-solving.
• Research and recommend innovative materials and construction techniques.
• Manage structural project phases, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
