Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for our client in East London, Eastern Cape. You will lead structural design and analysis for coastal infrastructure, ensure compliance with SANS and coastal guidelines, and mentor junior engineers. The role requires Pr.

Eng. with ECSA and at least 8 years of progressive experience in infrastructure and buildings. Join a team focused on technical excellence, sustainability, and collaboration, delivering robust solutions across major projects

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural/Civil Eng with specialization.
• Pr.Eng. registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Minimum 8 years in structural engineering for infrastructure/buildings, coastal exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis for infrastructure and buildings.
• Develop detailed drawings and construction documentation using software.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and adherence to specs in East London.
• Mentor junior structural engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate with architects, PMs and other disciplines.
• Propose rehabilitation designs for coastal environments where needed.
• Ensure compliance with SANS and project-specific requirements.
• Manage project schedules and contribute to budget control.
