Placements24 in Benoni, Gauteng, invites an experienced Stress Analysis Engineer to join our advanced engineering team. The role focuses on structural and stress analysis of mechanical components using simulation tools to ensure safety, reliability, and performance under varying operating conditions.

You will build and validate FEM models, interpret results, and collaborate with designers and manufacturing engineers to implement improvements.

Qualifications

Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in solid mechanics or computational mechanics.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in performing structural and stress analysis.
Proficiency in ANSYS, ABAQUS or COMSOL.
Strong understanding of material science and mechanical design principles.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive stress analysis, fatigue analysis, and vibration analysis on mechanical designs.
Develop and validate Finite Element Models (FEM) using advanced simulation software.
Interpret analysis results and provide clear, actionable recommendations to the design engineering team.
Collaborate closely with designers and manufacturing engineers to implement design improvements based on analysis findings.
Document analysis procedures, methodologies, and results in detailed technical reports.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in FEA software and analysis techniques.
