Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a specialized Stress Analyst Engineer in Vereeniging to ensure the structural integrity of mechanical components under various loads. You will use advanced FEA to predict behavior, identify failure points, and optimize designs for strength, durability, and safety.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in stress analysis/FEA, strong solid mechanics knowledge, and experience with ANSYS or Abaqus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in mechanical or civil engineering with a focus on structural analysis.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in stress analysis and FEA.
• Proficiency with FEA software (ANSYS, Abaqus) and solid mechanics knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed stress, fatigue, and vibration analyses on components using FEA.
• Develop and validate finite element models with accuracy.
• Interpret results and recommend design modifications to improve integrity.
• Collaborate with design engineers to integrate findings early in the design process.
• Stay current with stress analysis techniques and software capabilities.
• Document methodologies, results, and recommendations in technical reports.
