Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering with structural mechanics specialization.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in structural analysis and design validation.
• Advanced proficiency in ANSYS, ABAQUS, or similar FEA software.
• Strong understanding of continuum mechanics, materials science, and fatigue analysis.
• Experience with data acquisition and experimental stress analysis techniques.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills in Pretoria.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed structural analysis and stress calculations for mechanical components and assemblies using FEA.
• Evaluate material properties and select appropriate materials to ensure structural integrity under various load conditions.
• Develop and validate simulation models, interpreting results to provide actionable design insights.
• Collaborate with mechanical design engineers to implement design modifications that enhance structural performance and reliability.
• Prepare comprehensive reports documenting analysis methods, findings, and recommendations for stakeholders.
