Clicks Group Limited is seeking a Store Manager (Large) for Promenade Mall in Cape Town to lead the store operations team and ensure service excellence.

You will drive sales, manage stock, shrinkage, scheduling and administration, while upholding brand standards and an engaging customer experience. The role requires strong leadership and business acumen, with collaboration across centre management and suppliers to achieve targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a store management role within a retail/FMCG environment with turnover of at least R50 million
• Extensive people management experience of a large and diverse workforce
• Financial management experience (budgets, P&L, financial ratios)
• Sound understanding of financial management principles
• Strong retail/FMCG background and understanding of merchandising and promotions principles
• Knowledge of stock, cost, risk and compliance management procedures
• Knowledge of customer service excellence
• Knowledge of labour legislation and IR practices
• Knowledge of competency based interviewing

Responsabilités

• Drive and maximize store sales by tracking daily targets and implementing action plans
• Efficiently manage all store operations including expenses, stock, shrinkage, housekeeping and admin
• Lead in-store visual merchandising to maintain brand presentation
• Develop and motivate employees through effective selection, leadership and development
• Schedule staff in line with labour policy and create proper staffing for each department
• Ensure weekly time and attendance and maintain employee records
• Execute customer service initiatives to enhance experience and loyalty
• Build relationships with centre managers, suppliers and DCs to meet objectives
• Monitor customer trends and competitor activity to capitalize on opportunities
• Foster a high performing culture aligned with the brand values
