Placements24 seeks a Senior Sound Designer to shape the auditory experience of interactive projects in Pietermaritzburg. You will design, record, edit and integrate sound across games and VR/AR experiences, collaborating closely with game designers, directors and artists.

You will leverage Pro Tools, Reaper or Cubase, and Wwise or FMOD to deliver immersive audio. A strong portfolio and a degree in sound design or related field are preferred.

Qualificações

• Proven experience as a Sound Designer for interactive media such as games, VR/AR.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating sound design for interactive projects.
• Proficiency with DAWs: Pro Tools, Reaper or Cubase.
• Experience with audio middleware like Wwise or FMOD is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Design, record, edit and mix high-quality sound effects and musical elements for interactive projects.
• Collaborate with designers, directors and animators to define audio vision.
• Manage and maintain audio asset libraries for accessibility.
• Implement audio into game engines and platforms using industry-standard tools.
• Provide guidance to junior sound designers and stay current with audio trends.
• Troubleshoot audio issues during development and post-launch.
• Conduct A/B testing and iterate on sound designs based on feedback.
