Placements24 is seeking a Senior Solar Energy Systems Engineer to design and deliver cutting-edge PV systems across residential to utility-scale projects. This fully remote role requires 5–7 years of PV design experience, a strong portfolio, and proficiency in PVSyst, AutoCAD, and Helioscope.

You will model performance, size systems, and prepare schematics while collaborating with a global team. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, preferably a Master's, and enjoys

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
5–7 years of progressive experience in solar PV design and engineering.
Proficiency with design software PVSyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope (or similar).
PE or similar certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead conceptualization, design, and engineering of complex PV systems.
Develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring layouts.
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for configurations.
Perform energy production estimates and financial viability analyses.
Collaborate with project managers, installation teams, and clients from design to commissioning.
Stay updated on solar tech, energy storage, and regulations.
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and resolve technical issues.
