Placements24 in Centurion is seeking a dedicated Solar Energy Systems Engineer to join its technical team. You will design, integrate, and optimize solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects, ensuring performance and reliability.

The role requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering and a passion for renewable energy, with collaboration across sales, installation, and operations teams to deliver high-quality client solutions.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the design and engineering of solar PV systems.
• Proficiency with PV design software such as PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of electrical principles, power systems and energy storage solutions.
• Knowledge of South African electrical codes and standards pertaining to solar installations.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in system design and documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Design and engineer solar PV systems, including site assessments, system sizing, component selection, and electrical schematics.
• Develop technical specifications and performance analysis reports for proposed solar energy installations.
• Ensure all system designs comply with relevant industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Provide technical support to installation and commissioning teams, troubleshooting issues during project execution.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to evaluate new solar technologies and components.
• Conduct performance monitoring and analysis of installed solar systems to identify optimization opportunities and maximize energy production.
