Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the design and engineering of solar PV systems.
• Proficiency with PV design software such as PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of electrical principles, power systems and energy storage solutions.
• Knowledge of South African electrical codes and standards pertaining to solar installations.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in system design and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer solar PV systems, including site assessments, system sizing, component selection, and electrical schematics.
• Develop technical specifications and performance analysis reports for proposed solar energy installations.
• Ensure all system designs comply with relevant industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
