Placements24 in Johannesburg is seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Systems Engineer to lead design, implementation and optimization of solar PV, wind, and energy storage systems across a diverse project portfolio. You will model performance, conduct feasibility studies and mentor junior engineers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering, 7+ years in renewables, proficiency with PVSyst/Homer and CAD, and knowledge of South African energy

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field) required.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in renewable energy systems engineering.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and implement renewable energy systems (solar PV, wind, storage).
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments and technical evaluations.
• Perform system modeling, simulation and performance analysis to optimize generation and efficiency.
• Lead project timelines, budgets and resource planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and safety protocols.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
