Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Solar PV Project Manager to oversee solar projects in Limpopo and across South Africa. Based in Polokwane, this hybrid role blends strategic remote planning with on-site leadership to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of utility-scale and commercial solar assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 8 years in project management with 5+ years in solar PV.
• Experience delivering utility-scale and/or commercial solar PV projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of solar PV projects (site selection to commissioning).
• Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules; monitor milestones.
• Lead EPC contractors, engineering consultants, and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, codes, and environmental standards.
• Identify and manage project risks with mitigation strategies.
• Oversee procurement activities and contract negotiations.
• Manage project finances, including cash flow and budget control.
• Foster relationships with clients, investors, and communities.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental performance across activities.
• Report status and risks to senior management.
