Placements24 is seeking a remote Solar Energy Project Manager to lead solar farm development from feasibility to handover. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets, schedules, and stakeholders across South Africa from a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 5+ years of project management experience in solar or renewables.
• Experience delivering large-scale solar PV projects from concept to handover.
• Strong knowledge of solar technologies, grid interconnection, and energy regulations.
• Proficient with project management software and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of solar energy projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against milestones.
• Coordinate with EPC teams and third-party contractors.
• Oversee site assessments, environmental impact studies, and permitting processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and energy policies.
• Manage project risks and mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate communication among clients, utilities, and internal teams.
• Monitor project performance and report KPIs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of PM processes.
