Placements24 in Stellenbosch is seeking a seasoned Software Project Manager to lead the development and delivery of cutting-edge software solutions. You will drive the full SDLC, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure on-time, on-scope, high-quality results.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product owners and QA, and implement Agile practices to enable reliable releases and continuous improvement in a fast-paced tech hub.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software project management.
• Proven experience managing complex software projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with project management tools like Jira, Confluence, and version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of software development projects, from concept to deployment.
• Define project scope, requirements, and technical specifications in collaboration with product teams.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans, and budgets.
• Lead and mentor software development teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify and resolve project roadblocks, risks, and dependencies to ensure timely delivery.
