Placements24 in Cape Town is seeking a proactive Senior Project Manager specializing in IT solutions to drive the successful implementation of complex IT projects, from software development to system integrations. You will guide project teams, manage vendor relationships, and ensure milestones are met within timelines and budgets.

The role requires 8+ years in IT project management, SDLC experience, and strong leadership with PMP/PRINCE2 desirability.

Qualifications

8+ years of progressive IT project management experience.
Proven ability to manage SDLC projects.
Experience with Agile, Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
Strong technical understanding of IT infrastructure, networks and software apps.
Excellent leadership, negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
PM certifications (PMP or PRINCE2) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, execution and delivery of IT projects ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Manage project scope, resources, budgets and timelines.
Develop and maintain detailed project documentation including plans, status reports and risk assessments.
Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, IT teams, business units and external vendors.
Implement robust risk management strategies to identify and address roadblocks.
Ensure successful deployment and adoption of IT solutions by end-users.
