Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction of substantial residential developments in George, Western Cape. You will lead on-site activities, coordinate trades, and ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards while enforcing health and safety requirements.

The role requires a proven track record in large residential projects, excellent leadership, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in site management for residential projects.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale developments.
• Strong knowledge of local regulations and OHS Act.
• Ability to read architectural/engineering drawings.
• Excellent leadership and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in project management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day on-site construction activities and milestones.
• Develop detailed schedules and work plans.
• Coordinate subcontractors, labour, and suppliers.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and audits.
• Monitor quality and manage budgets and costs.
• Prepare progress reports for senior management.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, architects, and authorities.
