Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead large-scale construction initiatives in George. You will oversee all phases from planning to handover, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and top quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory awareness, and expert contractor coordination. The successful candidate will liaise with clients, design teams, and regulators, driving project success across the Western Cape with a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in managing complex construction projects, preferably in the George region.
• Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
• Excellent knowledge of contract law, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
• Oversee day-to-day construction operations, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
• Manage contracts, procurement, and subcontractor relationships effectively.
• Implement and enforce robust health and safety protocols on all construction sites.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control assessments.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and clients.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and environmental standards in George.
• Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives and maintain high performance.
