Placements24 seeks an experienced Lead Site Engineer to oversee critical civil works and building construction for large residential developments in Pretoria, Gauteng. You will lead site teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure compliance with designs, safety regulations, and timelines.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in site supervision, strong leadership, and a track record in earthworks, roads, and services.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Professional registration (e.g., ECSA, SACPCMP) is highly advantageous.
• Minimum 7 years of site engineering and supervision experience in large residential developments.
• Demonstrated experience in managing civil works and building structures.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, with safety knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and manage daily construction activities on large-scale residential estate projects.
• Ensure workmanship and materials meet project specs and industry standards.
• Coordinate foremen, surveyors, and subcontractors to maintain momentum.
• Enforce health and safety protocols on site for all personnel.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to guide construction in Pretoria.
• Manage site logistics including deliveries and equipment scheduling.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks, documenting progress.
• Liaise with the Project Manager to resolve site issues and meet deadlines.
• Maintain accurate site records, daily reports and incident logs.
• Foster positive relationships with site team and subcontractors.
