Job summary

Placements24 in the Western Cape is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to oversee residential developments in the George area. You will manage every phase from planning and design coordination through to handover, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

Lead a diverse team of site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, drive budgets and schedules, maintain regulatory compliance, and report to senior management with clear project updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• At least 10 years of demonstrable residential construction PM experience.
• Strong knowledge of residential techniques, materials and best practices.
• Proven ability to manage complex budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of residential construction projects from conception to completion in George.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, timelines, budgets and resources.
• Coordinate site activities and ensure adherence to schedules.
• Mentor site supervisors, foremen and on-site personnel.
• Control costs, track expenses and implement savings where possible.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, permits and safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections, progress meetings and QA checks.
• Manage relationships with clients, architects, engineers and authorities.
• Procure and manage materials, equipment and subcontractor contracts.
• Prepare comprehensive project reports for senior management and stakeholders.
