Placements24 seeks a highly experienced Senior Site Manager to lead a landmark infrastructure project in Bloemfontein. You will oversee the full construction lifecycle, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery while coordinating with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

You will develop detailed schedules, manage on-site teams, enforce health and safety regulations, handle procurement, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Exceptional leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Bloemfontein region.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the construction process from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Develop and implement detailed project schedules, monitoring progress and addressing deviations or delays.
• Manage on-site personnel, including subcontractors, tradespeople, and laborers, fostering a productive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting site inspections and corrective actions.
• Oversee procurement of materials and equipment, managing inventory and timely delivery to site.
• Maintain project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and financial records.
• Act as primary contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders with regular updates.
• Implement quality control measures throughout the construction lifecycle.
