Job summary

RPO Recruitment's client, a reputable building and civil contractor in Cape Town, is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join their team on a major project. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant and materials, and ensure safety, quality, budget and programme targets are met.

Strong leadership and communication are essential for success on this role. Experience of 10+ years, MS Project proficiency, and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience as a Site Agent with a reputable construction contractor.
• Proven experience managing building and/or civil construction projects from inception to completion.
• Proficient in MS Project.
• Valid driver's licence (essential).
• Strong leadership, planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and subcontractor management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all day-to-day site operations.
• Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant and material resources.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Monitor construction progress against the project programme and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
• Attend and chair site meetings.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Prepare site reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
