RPO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Site Agent for a permanent Cape Town-based role. You will lead the delivery of large building projects, oversee site operations, and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring safety, budget, and quality targets are met.

The ideal candidate has a BSc/BEng in construction or civil engineering with 10+ years of building construction experience and a proven track record in contract administration and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in construction-related field (BSc/BEng).
• Minimum 10 years' experience in building construction.
• Strong contract administration and commercial management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of large and complex building projects from inception to completion.
• Manage all site operations including programme, quality, cost and safety objectives.
• Oversee contract administration and ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships.
• Lead negotiations on contract variations, claims and dispute resolution.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, drawings and industry standards.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction-related challenges.
• Implement innovative methods to improve efficiency and quality.
• Monitor budgets, forecasting and financial performance.
• Lead site resource planning and allocation.
• Develop and implement project-specific safety plans.

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Site Agent to join its Cape Town team on a permanent basis. This opportunity is suited to a results-driven construction professional with extensive experience managing large-scale building projects from inception through to successful completion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of large and complex building construction projects.
• Manage all site operations, ensuring programme, quality, cost, and safety objectives are achieved.

Minimum Requirements

• BSc or BEng in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years' experience within the building construction industry.
• Proven experience managing large and complex construction projects.
• Strong contract administration and commercial management experience.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Strong understanding of South African construction legislation, contractual frameworks, and health and safety requirements.
